This module focuses on a ​Trauma-Informed Practices strengths-based approach, which aims to understand and respond to the impact of trauma on people’s lives.

This training will equip workforce professionals with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to increase their personal wellbeing and deliver their services in a way that is enabling for people who have experienced trauma.

It will focus on understanding the impact of trauma on individuals and communities, trauma-informed care principles and practices, and self-care strategies for professionals to prevent burnout.

This module provides learners with a comprehensive understanding of a trauma-informed approach within their role and how to remain professional in even the most challenging of situations. Learners will take away practical and adaptable skills and ideas that will support them to work in a trauma-informed way.
Expected Outcomes
Learners will be provided a full understanding of the relationships process and how a true therapeutic relationship safeguards both client and practitioner while supporting growth (which identifies healthy and unhealthy relationships) and how to identify and repair ruptures to return to and remain in a healthy space. Finally, learners will explore the value of trust between Practitioner and Client and consider how a diverse team can maximise impact.
